1 John 4:19

"We love because He first loved us"

I have been wanting to get this as a tattoo on my foot for a long time now.. and when I read the book "Crazy Love" it talked about this and it gave me more ideas for why I absolutely love this verse. It means so much to me. God is love and his love gives us love for others. Love is from God and he loves us unconditionally and that makes me want to show love to the world. I found this video on one of my many photography blogs I regularly look at and it just is so beyond precious and it says something about this verse briefly.. applying it to marriage of course but it can be applied to our marriage with God. Here is the quote of the part that I adore:

”...and deep down I know I was born to love like this. In the silence that is comfortable, in the moments in between, in the tiny, little, ordinary, everyday nothings that make up our whole life together. And sitting on our couch together with Cooper’s face in our laps I know there is no place in this world I’d rather be. See I see love because I have known love. I have been loved, quietly and fearlessly and without question, in the moments when it was most uncertain, in the times when it was most undeserved. I believe in love, with my whole heart I believe in love, because I was first loved, and I have loved in return.”
